Newberry Child Care welcomes students ages 2.5 to 6 years old.
What’s your class size?
Newberry Child Care believes in giving children the attention they need to thrive. We have a maximum teacher/child ratio of 1:10.
What’s your curriculum?
Newberry Child Care believes in active minds and active bodies. We know preschool age children learn best through play and social interaction. Our Creative Movement Class allows preschoolers to express themselves. This includes Music & Movement Games, Rhythm & Coordination Activities, Imaginative Play, Basic Dance & Yoga Poses, and Parachute Play & Group Activities. Our PE Class is designed to help children develop healthy habits, motor skills, and a love for movement in a fun and supportive environment. We also take field trips to the library. All activities are age-appropriate, play-based, and inclusive, ensuring every child can participate and feel successful.
What’s the benefit of being associated with the Downtown Athletic Club?
Newberry has access to the Downtown Athletic Club’s gymnasium and facilities. This includes the gymnasium, which provides a safe and secure environment for children to engage in physical activities, such as running, jumping, and playing all types of games.
How about cleanliness and safety?
Cleanliness and safety are top priorities at Newberry Child Care. We take extra measures to ensure that our center is professionally cleaned each night, using environmentally friendly cleaning products and techniques. Our teachers thoroughly disinfect and sanitize throughout the day, from the classrooms to the play areas, to ensure a healthy and safe environment for our little ones
What are your hours?
Newberry’s hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. We are closed on major holidays.
Where can I park?
There are several convenient parking options for parents and caregivers. There is a passenger loading zone directly in front of the preschool. The Overpark Garage at 10th and Oak provides up to one hour of free parking per visit. Additionally, parents who are DAC Members may enter through the Downtown Athletic Club.
