Located inside the Downtown Athletic Club in Eugene Oregon, Newberry Child Care believes in active bodies and active minds. Our preschool programs for children 2 1/2 to 6 years old are child-centered, and we focus on the whole child. We touch all areas of development including social, emotional, intellectual, large and small motor.

Newberry Child Care’s preschool philosophy is developmental, which means we look at each child as an individual when planning curriculum and daily routine. We foster independence and positive self-esteem. Family input is an integral component of a child’s educational and developmental goals. We understand that providing children with ample space to move, play, and explore is crucial for their physical development and overall well-being.

Because we’re part of the Downtown Athletic Club, we have access to the gymnasium as our indoor playground for children to use. It provides a safe and secure environment for children to run, jump, and play all types of games. Children at Newberry Child Care have the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills and have fun while doing so. On days when weather permits, we take carefully supervised walks and even plan an occasional theme-related field trip. Watch our video to learn more.
